There are numerous holistic sources that claim to be healing cancer with varying degrees of success. A few of these report success greater than 90 percent of the time. I have spent years researching and finding the best information available, and have compiled a list of the most important considerations relevant to cancer. I present here a distillation of these factors, as well as a brief exploration of some approaches that would be more likely to fail so these can be avoided. This article will cover four basic areas: • How and Why the FDA has Failed Us. • Holistic Options that Fall Short. • Comprehensive Holistic Treatments. • A Note on Allopathic Cancer Treatments. The prognosis is usually much better than for the more usual kinds of invasive breast cancer. Like other uncommon subtypes of breast cancer, diagnosing it takes extraordinary ability. You might want to look for a second view from another hospital pathology lab if this is your diagnosis. Diagnosing mucinous carcinoma usually engages a mixture of steps. First is a...

Liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma) is a cancer arising from the liver. It is also known as primary liver cancer or hepatoma. The liver is made up of different cell types (for example, bile ducts, blood vessels, and fat-storing cells). However, liver cells (hepatocytes) make up 80% of the liver tissue. Thus, the majority of primary liver cancers (over 90 to 95%) arises from liver cells and is called hepatocellular cancer or carcinoma. Primary liver cancer is rarely discovered early and often doesn't respond to current treatments — thus, the prognosis is often poor. Even when treatments fail to provide much improvement in the liver cancer itself, pain and other signs and symptoms caused by...

Cancer is the second leading cause of death among Americans.  Many people do not realize that cancer is largely a disease which can be prevented through lifestyle and dietary modifications as well as through targeted supplementation.  Prevention is the key to reducing the number of cancer deaths, as once this disease has spread to multiple organs, survival rates plummet.  100 years ago, it is estimated that cancer affected 1 in 80 people, yet today nearly 1 in 3 Americans will deal with some form of the disease. A Century of Lifestyle Alterations Lead to Cancer Proliferation Our lifestyle in the US has changed dramatically over the last century.  We have evolved from a predominately natural...

With so many women becoming victims of breast cancer each year, it should be thought that the medical fraternity must be having very detailed information about it. But that is hardly the case. Despite the millions of women dying each year, the causes, mechanisms and treatment of breast cancer still remains shrouded in mystery. A simple layperson’s definition of breast cancer is that it is an abnormal growth of a mass of cells known as a tumor...

Most women would be surprised to know that mammograms, the traditional screening method for breast cancer, only detects cancerous tumors after they have formed. Thus it really doesn’t “prevent” breast cancer. Breast cancer detection involves a number of things, and no one diagnostic tool does it all. They all have their place and should be used in a way that best suits the patient and her situation. Let me tell you a bit about infrared thermography and how it fits into that picture. Cancerous tumors have an abnormal cellular metabolism. In simple terms their energy systems work differently than a healthy cell. They have a metabolism that is dependant on glucose (or sugar) and thus require a...

My wife's bout with ductal breast cancer led me to theorize that this epidemic may have a simple common denominator and that some simple oversight in the general population could be a contributing factor. A plastic surgeon had removed fluid buildup from her ducts months AFTER her surgery. I wondered if its possible that this accumulation of fluid is the cause of many of these types of cancers and if a plan to regularly DRAIN these ducts could prevent ductal cancer. It is the same idea as toxic materials in the colon being a possible cause for colon cancer and another application of the addage that "CLEANLINESS IS NEXT TO GODLINESS". It is easy to grasp that just keeping all of our "plumbing" clean...

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is a treatment which essentially involves providing the body with extra oxygen. The word 'Hyper' means 'increased' and 'Baric' refers to pressure. As we all know, Oxygen is one of the gases in the air that we breathe and is essential for life. The air that we breathe normally contains 21% oxygen. Breathing in 100% oxygen under increased pressure within a hyperbaric chamber allows extra oxygen to be forced into the blood stream and dissolved at a much faster rate than if pressure was not used. Another effect is the increased oxygen transport capacity of the blood. Under atmospheric pressure, oxygen transport is limited by the oxygen binding capacity of hemoglobin in red...

Radiation dermatitis is a skin condition which is due to radiation treatment for cancer. Much of the discomfort you experience is due to inflammation. (Inflamed means burning and that's what it feels like.) When you understand the common problems that result, you will be in a good position to help yourself feel better with a few sensible and simple routines. Here are a few examples of radiation-damaged skin: Dryness, even excessive dryness - The obvious solution to dryness is to add moisture. This process is called hydration. It sounds easier than it is because the moisture needs to penetrate cells deep in the layers of your skin. Tap water doesn't do that because it tends to leave a film on surface...
